Amani Children’s Home, located in the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, provides a safe place for abandoned street children to heal and learn what it is to be a child in a caring and loving environment. They provide a home, meals, life skills and medical care for homeless children.

Among the many programs and services Amani provides, is the Carpentry Program. This program teaches the children basic carpentry skills. It equips the children with tools & supplies, and the ability to make things that they can later sell. With what they learn, they are better prepared to take care of their own future.
